A ghazal to liberate any listener… Ranjish Hi Sahi. I can’t talk about this song like a film song, because it comes from a totally different place. Ranjish Hi Sahi is a poetic ghazal that takes love and grief to a different level. Why did I want to make a cover of Ranjish Hi Sahi?? Out of all songs. Well, as a musician, I have no excuses to limit myself only to certain styles of music. As a student of Indian classical music, I thought that trying Ranjish Hi Sahi would be a good option for a cover. I don’t think I could do any version but an unplugged version. I sat with my parents and studied the lyrics to make sure I was singing dynamically perfect (as perfect as I could haha). Ranjish Hi Sahi is quite the composition and I am excited to share my unplugged cover with all of you!!
